Introducing Rick Michaelis, a dynamic and seasoned general contractor with a passion for community and family. Born and raised on the northside of Indianapolis, near Butler’s campus, Rick’s roots run deep in the area. A proud graduate of Indianapolis Cathedral High School’s Class of 2008, he went on to earn a management degree from Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs. With a keen interest in city and mixed-use planning, Rick has always been drawn to creating a lasting, positive impact on urban landscapes.

As a fourth-generation General Contractor in Indianapolis, Rick’s foundation in the industry began with his family company, Michaelis Corp, working during summer breaks and throughout high school. After college, he briefly ventured into logistics but found himself longing for the hands-on nature of contracting work. Returning to the family business, Rick spent three years as a lead field tech before transitioning to an estimator and project manager role for six years.
